Turning Ideas into Test-Ready Prototypes

Rapid Prototyping is a critical step in modern product development, enabling engineers to quickly obtain functional, production-grade parts directly from digital CAD models. This process accelerates validation, speeds iteration, and shortens time to market.

Our Rapid-Prototyping Process

  1. Material Selection

Our experts help you select the most suitable material from our extensive in-stock inventory.

  2. Design Submission

You provide a 3D model (STEP, IGES, or DXF format), which defines all part dimensions,
    tolerances, and features.

  3. Programming & Setup

The CAD file is converted into machine code. Our CNC specialists generate tool paths and
    define cutting parameters.

  4. Precision Machining

Our skilled technicians execute the CNC machining process.

  5. Quality Inspection

Finished parts undergo thorough inspection using coordinate measuring machines (CMMs).

  6. Fast Delivery

Parts are shipped promptly, often overnight, and are typically delivered within 48 hours,
    depending on material availability.

Value-Added Benefits of Prototyping with Rico Products

Value-Added Benefits 1 - 800x500

At Rico Products, we do more than make parts fast. We help make them smarter. Our team brings design for manufacturability (DFM) insight to the table early, reviewing your concept with real-world production in mind. The result? Fewer surprises, lower costs, and a smoother path from prototype to full-scale production.

Value-Added Benefits 2 - 800x500

At Rico Products, prototyping costs can be partially or fully credited toward future production tooling. This approach extends the value of your development spend and helps reduce total project costs as you transition to full-scale production. The result is a more cost-efficient path from concept to manufacturing.
